CRMWD Raw Water Production Facility at Big Spring, Texas

 

This project consisted of the construction of a new membrane building that will treat 2.5 MGD of treated effluent from the Big Spring WWTP. The work included the construction of a new diversion structure and pump station at the City’s WWTP site, a new 1.0 MG Source Water Tank, a new treatment building, a new 0.5 MG product water tank, a new product water pump station, approximately 5,700 LF of PVC piping, electrical and instrumentation.  RLC was responsible for the Source Water Pump Station PLC controls and the Balance of Plant controls for the Product Water Station, Tank Farm levels and other miscellaneous monitoring of the plant.  Provided Wonderware HMI computers and reporting package.  All of the new controls of this facility were Modicon PLCs.

This was a high profile project that was reported on by several news outlets.
